I do silly things

Tue Jan 27, 2009, 4:42 PM
OK, so if you don't play Dungeons and Dragons, this might be a little much, so bear with me.

I am playing a halfling (about 3 feet tall; think hobbit) barbarian (strength like an ox; think Hulk). Our first job (me and my companions) was to break a siege. I attacked a 10-foot guy who was being healed by 4 other guys. And I didn't die.
The next thing we did was defend a wooden fort. I ended up getting set on fire and thrown off the fort and attacking a guy wearing full armor, like a knight. And I didn't die.
The next thing we did was infiltrate a mansion and capture a general. Not too hard, but I got turned into a girl.
The NEXT thing we did was a random encounter, where something random attacks us while we travel. It was a bulette, or a land shark. I tamed it. That's right. I tamed a 12-foot long land shark.
I excrete awesome from every pore in my body.

Superhero contest!

Wed Oct 8, 2008, 9:40 PM
All right, I'm doing this!

Right now, I have some many visual ideas running around in my head, but no art of them. I do, however, have the love of the written word, the love of freehand copying art onto whiteboards, and love of contests. So, the Contest!

To submit:
Send me a note with "Contest" in the subject. All you need to include is a link to the deviation. It can be anything, except literature. I have that already.

Criterion:

These are my first two sections of the Superhero saga. If you have read them, you can tell that there will be five (yes, five) superheroes working together, and, as such, they need outfits. However, as these are real people, who are not overly proportioned, they need to have fairly normal outfits. I will give basic guidelines as to appearance and attire, and then it's up to you. Feel free to choose whichever one you like best, or do more than one in one art. It's up to you!

Ben Jennings / Urben:
Average build, ninja outfit, leather jacket, blue visor in mask (my avatar is an oversimplified view of Ben's head), katana
Power: Teleportation

Jessica Barnes / Waiv:
Above average build, blond hair tank top, capris, mute
Power: Sound wave creation

Stephen Wright / Chip:
Robot (have fun with this one, just don't make him overly powerful looking)
Power: Communicate with machines

Kim Wu / Lite:
Short, Chinese, short black hair, t-shirt and jeans
Power: Speed, hard light production

Butch:
Tall, African-American, above average build, no shirt(?)
Power: Size manipulation

Prizes:
Ahhh, we get to the heart of the matter. So far, I haven't compiled many prizes, besides what I can offer. So, if you want to offer a prize (y'know, a feature or something), note me, and I'll add you, plus be really nice to you. If I don't get too many prizes added, I might stop the contest, so add, you!

First Prize:
Permanent feature from ~Blees-o-tron
HFA of choice from ~Blees-o-tron
Literature of choice from ~Blees-o-tron

Second Prize:
Permanent feature from ~Blees-o-tron
HFA of choice from ~Blees-o-tron

Third Prize:
Permanent feature from ~Blees-o-tron
Literature of choice from ~Blees-o-tron

Honorable Mentions (to round out the five, if I get enough submissions):
Permanent feature from ~Blees-o-tron

All entries:
Comment and favorite from ~Blees-o-tron

What's HFA?
HFA is Huge Fan Art, and is the process by which fan art is made by freehanding existing art on a whiteboard, taking art from several inches to several feet. HFA is often done in a classroom, and professors will sometimes leave it up for several days. Either way, it is fan art. See my gallery for examples.

DEADLINE:
So far, I'm thinking the end of the year, just so I have a definite date.

My Request list

Thu Sep 18, 2008, 12:54 PM
A NEW PROJECT!!
I am bored, so I am making a video in the style of Yahtzee's Zero Punctuation series. [link] I know I can't post it here, but it'll be on Youtube. If you are curious about what that style is, go check some videos out. If you like video games, you have to check it out. If not, these videos are great for your video game-loving friends, and then they will praise you for finding these videos for them. It's a win-win!

OK, so I am now taking requests for HFA, or Huge Fan Art. This is work done on a whiteboard, or, in rare circumstances, a blackboard (I don't like blackboards...)
[link]

I have five to work on:
[link]
for ~Creative-Commision
[link]
for =Apples13
[link]
for ~RossK (I like this one, I hope a teacher leaves it up for a long time.)
[link]
for ~Panndy
[link]
for ~JessicaSephiroth

Two down, four to go!
HFA: Now and Forever
[link]
HFA: Eon from TTB
[link]
Enjoy the first few!

If I get incredibly backed up (like 10 or something), then I may close requests for a while, until I get my life managed again. For now, we are good.
I will add links to finished products when they arrive.

The great journey

Thu Sep 11, 2008, 10:27 AM
OK, so that's a pretty lame title for a journal entry.

I joined DeviantArt so that I could interact with some great artists and maybe find someone who would take my brilliant idea for a comic book series and turn it into a reality.

If you are interested, go look for it here: [link]

It's a huge plot synopsis of, like, the first four books, the first story arc if you will. Due to my lack of artistic talent, I rely on those I can find, so if you are interested, drop me a line!
